How Carbide Burrs Work
Carbide burrs are small, cutting tools expertly engineered to shape, deburr, and engrave hard materials like metal and wood. They work by spinning at high RPMs in compatible tools, such as die grinders, allowing their sharp flutes to cut through material, enabling smooth finishing and detailed work. Thanks to their tungsten carbide construction, burrs possess remarkable hardness and can withstand high-speed applications, offering efficient chip removal and surface refinement.
Safety Guidelines
Eye Protection: Always wear safety goggles to guard against flying debris.
Secure Workpiece: Ensure the workpiece is clamped tightly to prevent movement during operation.
Beware of Overheating: Allow burrs to cool intermittently to prevent tool damage.
Wear Gloves: Protect your hands with snug-fitting work gloves.
Proper Shutdown: Turn off equipment before replacing or adjusting burrs.
Check Connections: Ensure power tools are correctly connected and secure.
